My name is Kristyn Monceski, and I am the designer at Monceski Interiors. My design goal is to make your home a place for you to enjoy that reflects your family and your lifestyle in a holistic way. I believe a home should have a sense of flow inside and out.
I began my professional career in education having completely disregarded interior design would be my calling. I was set on becoming a mathematics teacher and I had forgotten my love for Sim’s, the virtual reality game that allows the player to build their own homes, furnish them, and then allow families to live in those homes. I would be playing for countless hours! I didn’t even think about the fact my father has been in the concrete block trade for decades or that my grandfather was an engineer (darn good one too!). It didn’t take long for me to realize that sometimes the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. The design gene was there, and I was going to follow my heart.
The last decade spent in the design industry has been nothing short of incredible. I spend a majority concentrating in residential design, particularly luxury kitchen and bathroom design, and it is amazing! Seeing the final picture come to life is absolutely rewarding. With my experiences and also being in the process of becoming certified with the NKBA, I have been provided with more knowledge and inspiration to design than I ever imagined.
